Irene Holmgren believes that the road to success always begins with knowledge. As founder of Inner Scapes Interior Design (established in 1986) Irene seeks to truly understand the needs of her clients by offering them timeless design solutions that offer insight into their lives.
As an artist, possessing a life-long fascination with color and space, Irene has long admired the great impact that creative design has on her clients’ lives. She measures her success only by the fulfillment of the lifestyle needs of her clients. In doing so she has developed a fearless eye for space, shape and texture. In addition, Inner Scapes offers cost-effective and creative solutions for commercial projects. Increased productivity and business goals are considered, leading to improved and healthier work environments and greater employee retention.
Irene is also known for her unique kitchen/bath/cabinetry solutions. She offers her clients a line of ‘Pedigree Cabinetry’ that is inspired by architecture, symmetry and character. Well-versed in contemporary and traditional styles, Irene is passionate about achieving a result that is both classic and timeless. As a member of both ASID and USGBC, Irene feels strongly that eco-friendly is not a design style. She offers sound advice on the manner in which materials are to be chosen in order to achieve a healthier and environmentally friendlier environment.
Her love of people and design is evident by the many testimonials she receives affirming both her knowledgeable and exceedingly caring service. Irene notes that her clients often become life-long friends as well as students of design. Her desire to help others has led to the creation of “The Design Business In A Box”. Irene is a graduate of Queens College of the CUNY with double majors in art and teaching. She also attended the Parsons School of Design, but believes that her greatest education and design inspiration has been achieved through global travel. Irene’s solutions can be seen in noted commercial projects, including hotels, restaurants, airline terminals, boutiques, medical offices and many upscale residences.
